Culture of Peace Alliance (COPA) Public Statement Regarding Peace & Nonviolence

  COPA calls for an end to all wars. There are no “just wars.”

  COPA affirms that the best way to resolve conflict, whether between individuals or between nations, involves the practice of Nonviolence.

  COPA’s goal is the creation of a culture of peace and Nonviolence.

COPA Public Statement Regarding the Humanitarian Crisis Impacting Palestinians

  1. COPA recognizes and condemns the devastation and genocide brought to Gaza and Palestinians by the military actions and decisions of the current Israeli government with the support of the United States government policies and actions.

  2. COPA recognizes and condemns the rise of Antisemitism and violence perpetrated against Jewish people across the US and around the world.

  3. COPA refuses to conflate our care for the Palestinians with Antisemitism.

  4. Humanitarian aid must be provided to meet the current crisis regarding food, water, and medical services needed immediately by Palestinians.

  5. COPA calls on the US Government to cease providing weapons and military support to the Israeli government and other countries around the world.

  6. COPA pledges to use Nonviolent strategies and practices to implement these principles and to work with other people and groups to achieve them.
