Denim Day Tucson
Denim Day Tucson has been a live community arts project raising awareness and educating the community on the many issues surrounding rape and sexual assault. Denim Day was originally formed to protest a judicial ruling in Italy that a woman couldn’t have been raped since she was wearing jeans and would have had to help take them off. Jeans are painted with messages empowering survivors. Denim Day is celebrated across the US and in other countries during Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April). Currently, we are seeking an individual or organization that would be interested in coordinating Denim Day Tucson. Contact: copa@cultureofpeacealliance.org
